Jody Found a Kidney

Jody and her husband, Jeff Plotkin, JD, CPA and Realtor®, work together and just celebrated their 16th anniversary.

They live in the Northwest Hills area of Austin, Texas with their dogs, Wags and Oscar (see photos below).

Just for fun:
Jody enjoys spending time w/ her friends.  You’ll often see her taking advantage of the live music and outdoor festivals Austin has to offer.

Dining out, and travel, particularly to Las Vegas, are favorites…and don’t get her started on poker.  It’s her favorite, and pretty much her only “sport”!  When are they going to legalize gambling in Texas???

Lupus Foundation of America, American Kidney Foundation, National and Texas Organ Sharing Alliances, Make a Wish Foundation, Humane Society, Red Cross.

History: Jody Lockshin grew up, with her family, in the Memorial area of Houston.
In 1979, at the age of 18, Jody obtained her Texas Real Estate license. Simultaneously, she moved to Austin to study Business at The University of Texas.
Throughout college, she worked for Habitat Hunters, Realtors®. Upon graduating in 1983 with a BBA in Marketing, she became a Texas Real Estate Broker and purchased the Habitat Hunters business.

Business Owner: Starting with little more than an office and a list of clients, Jody has grown the business to what it is today - one of Austin's oldest, largest, and well-respected real estate companies, with 18 agents and five staff, serving as a one-stop-shop for all residential, commercial, leasing, sales, consulting, tax protesting, relocation and expert witness testimony. After almost 25 years with the same owner, the majority of Habitat Hunters' and Jody's business comes from repeat customers and referrals from satisfied clients. Located in the same central Austin office since 1985, Habitat Hunters covers property throughout Austin and its surrounding areas.
